The 2020 Miami Film Festival took place from March 6-15. Fika was tasked to produce the opening and closing night galas.

Festival events have been an instrumental source of revenue in sustaining the organization. There has been a decline in attendance and ticket sales in recent years due to the gradual downturn in resources and engaging experiences. Our goal was to secure new sponsors and community partners to supplement funds, boost event marketing and create unique moments beyond what is expected.



Fika secured over 15+ festival partners including first time brands such as Bulleit Whiskey, Barr Hill Gin and HoneySpot App. Culinary sponsorships increased 3x from 2019 (200% increase). The overall digital efforts and social promotions by our partners were able to garner over 712k+ impressions leading up to the festival events.

The Experiences

To create moments beyond what was expected, we transformed empty spaces including the venue’s bank vault by conceptualizing and building out a pop up arcade room. A beauty bar was designed to offer inclusive on-brand makeovers to all guests.
With the support of all our partners, we were able to amplify the value and overall festival experience in order to increase ticket sales for 2021.
