Segunda Mano is a sustainable and thrifted fashion show featuring second hand or ethically sourced clothing. Produced by Fika Creative Group in alliance with The Bazaar 4 Good, the first annual runway show will benefit the Lotus House Women’s Shelter, and showcase curated looks put together through donated items from the Lotus House Thrift Chic Boutique, a partner of Lotus House, and vehicle for building grassroots support and raising public awareness to help end homelessness.
Lotus House Mission
"Our mission is to improve the lives of women, youth and children experiencing homelessness by providing sanctuary, support, education, tools and resources that empower them to improve the quality of their lives on every level, achieve greater self sufficiency, and build safe, secure lives. If their dreams come true, we enrich our community with the fruit of their potential realized."

Segunda Mano will be curated using pieces from the Lotus House thrift boutique, donated clothes and ethically sourced items. Mexican-American multi-media artist Danié Gómez-Ortigoza from @JourneyofaBraid will be hosting this initiative and selecting the pieces for the exhibition.
Danié believes in the power of braiding with intention. Creativity has been the only constant in her career, having worked as a television host for Disney, a Copywriter and Digital Strategist at various advertising agencies in Mexico and Canada, a Marketing Director for a media publication in Sweden, and correspondent for Glamour Mexico and Latin America based in Miami, where she received a Fashion Group International Award for her work.

Fashion Show
The best of the best thrifted pieces from the Lotus House Thrift Boutique, second hand items and ethically sourced outfits will be featured on the runway. Keep an eye out for the funky accessories provided by our friends at Normou and sustainable swimsuits from Chromat! Our diverse group of models will be showcasing how amazing summer and swimwear fashion can be found directly from your local thrift store and more. Clémentine Desseaux, Founder & CEO of @theallwomxnproject will be modeling along with women from the Lotus House Thrift shop and community volunteers.
Artist and designer, Natasha Tomchin, will be curating the backdrop of the runway with her Flora Aurora installation. Debuted at Art Basel 2019, Prismatic Paradise is Natasha’s latest sculptural series inspired by the shapes and shadows of local flora. Based on actual leaf patterns and fabricated from dichroic film, acrylic and metal, these surreal monstera and palm trees cast prismatic-colored shadows different from the light they reflect.
Natasha Tomchin is an artist, designer and coder.
Virtual Reality | Immersive Installations | Projection Mapping | Digital Art
Natasha Tomchin is driven by her fascination with natural phenomena. Born in Belarus and raised in Nebraska, she’s called Miami home for the last ten years. Inspired by the clouds and lush flora, her art draws directly from her surroundings in an effort to connect more deeply with nature. These feelings translate across code art, painted furniture, sculpture, video, and projection installations.
